Stray Dog

It really pisses me off when I get in my own way

Would be so much easier to shake me off like some stray dog

And walk, unimpeded, into the future

Even if just for a few blocks without you,

Cursed pet, nipping at my heels

Slobbering at my ankles, ripping the hem of my new pants
